Welcome to the CinefestOZ Beret. This beret is dedicated to the movie crew that volunteer at the CinefestOZ Film Festival. The film festival is located in the South-West region of Western Australia and I was fortunate enough to make these berets as a collaborative project.
The blue beret represents the Bunbury movie crew volunteers and the red beret represents the Busselton/Dunsborough and Margaret River movie crew volunteers. You can obviously make a beret with any colour you like and I would love to see your finished garment. Use the hashtag #cinefestberet on Instagram so that I can view your creations.

The beret is knit using two strands of 8ply (DK) yarn and 6mm circular needles. This beret is a beginner/intermediate pattern and knit in the round. The gauge is 14 sts x 21 rows for a 10x10cm (4”) tension square. The sizing is for S (50-54cm/20-22”), M (54-57cm/22-23”) and L (57-62cm/23-25”) but the long-tail cast on method allows for a flexible brim.

Enjoy your beret and remember to use the hashtag #cinefestberet on Instagram!
